Purpose of the role

We are looking for an ambitious SEO Account Manager to play a key role in supporting the management of a portfolio of clients, bringing an innovative and strategic approach to their work, to ultimately deliver continuous improvement and successful campaigns to their client base. Reporting to the Account Director or Senior Account Manager, the individual should have at least 3 years demonstrable experience working in SEO within a digital agency environment.

The individual should be able to evidence successful clients and campaigns that they have worked on and supported, and explain how their contribution exceeded their clients’ expectations. The individual must have a real passion for SEO and have an eagerness to learn, and implement best practices and new industry developments across their accounts. Team spirit is essential to success in this role – the individual must be a team player, and be able to balance their own client responsibilities with the needs and challenges of the wider team.

Overview of the role

  • You will support senior members of the team, including the Account Director and the Senior Account Manager to deliver excellent client work.
  • You will support the Account Executives within your team with training and day to day support as required.
  • You will work alongside SEO Specialists to develop ambitious and innovative SEO strategies, and support the delivery, implementation and iteration of this strategy within your client base. 
  • You will engage with, and build rapport and relationships with your clients, ensuring their business objectives are supported by the agency.
  • You will have experience in working on and delivering SEO campaigns, including measuring and reporting against ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • You will add to a culture of pro-activity and a feeling that House Digital is a centre of performance marketing excellence.
  • You will take an active role and responsibility in supporting the business to hit and surpass its financial turnover and revenue targets.
  • You will understand your client’s agreed Statement of Work, and will ensure that all services in scope are executed and delivered to the highest quality.
  • You will ensure the correct management of your client’s budgets, adhering to internal processes to ensure no over-or under-spend on accounts.
  • You will use and monitor House Digital’s internal time tracking software, ensuring that your accounts are being resourced appropriately, without excessive overburning of hours.
  • Assisting with business development by having ideas when it comes to House Digital’s product / service offering and assisting in new business pitches. 
  • You will develop meaningful relationships with clients via regular video and face to face meetings.
  • You will build rapport and trust with your clients, based on continually delivering positive results, and exceeding their expectations.
  • You will be a great communicator, and raise any potential issues regarding the delivery of work in a timely manner and in a way that helps the business avoid late delivery of work, contractual or quality issues.
  • Have strong experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and ideally with ahrefs and SEMrush.
