Following the success of our work with Office Furniture Online, BiGDUG, as part of the TAKKT group, asked us to support with their website’s SEO after a notable decrease in visibility for core product categories.
Objective
BiGDUG originally came to us seeking support in preparation for a website migration and to help boost their backlink profile.
We identified that due to a lack of keyword strategy in place and a confusing site architecture, the site was experiencing poor visibility and ranking positions, including a significant decline in visibility for category-level hero keywords such as “shelving”, “racking”, and “garage shelving.”
Having branched out to a B2C audience of home improvers during lockdown, the brand now needed a refined SEO strategy to effectively target both B2B and B2C markets.
What We Did
We produced a sitewide keyword strategy and orchestrated the new site hierarchy and URL structure to improve crawlability, visibility, and UX.
We conducted ongoing on-page optimisation for all priority categories and product pages to improve keyword positions and Organic visibility in the SERPs. Within just a few months of implementation, we saw a huge +59% increase in total keyword rankings with a +47% uplift in page 1 keyword rankings.
After performing an in-depth link profile health check, our link building activities then focused on gaining links from highly relevant B2B websites with a DR over 50 to increase authority in BiGDUG’s industry. Our efforts led to a +59% increase in Referring Domains with a DR over 50.
